Re-stretching is just as it sounds. However, the proper methods and
directions need to be determined. Some carpets must be stretched on one
direction, some in opposing directions, while others need to be stretched from
the center in all direction.
Carpet repair (cuts, plugs, seams) may take place any where. A cut or trim
may need to be performed when there is excess carpet along the edges. A
seam is necessary if excess is between two adjacent areas. Once complete,
there will be no noticeable seam line. A threshold is the boundary or strip of
metal, wood, or even decorative flooring. This creates a blending point from
one area to another. A plug is a circular seam.
