Carpet Cleaning
Q: What constitutes an area?
A: An area is a full set of stairs, bedroom, dining room, etc.
Q: Steam clean or Chemical Dry Clean? Which is better?
A: Historically, carpet cleaners used high pressure which forced cold, warm, or hot water
through the carpet to the padding which caused extended drying times.  This creates an
environment for mold, mildew, bacteria, and viruses to germinate.  Quicker drying is better
for your family.
Q: Chemical dry cleaners told me my carpet dries in one to two hours.  Why does it take
time to dry when they are
dry cleaning my carpets?
A: The dry-cleaning process gets the carpet wet, but without the use of water.  Chemicals
are used to percolate dirt to the surface and an additional machine agitates and extracts
the dirt.
Q: The manufacturer of my carpet recommends steam cleaning.  How does Atlanta
Steemer get the carpet to dry in one to two hours?
A: Our technicians are trained in the science of speed drying.  Quicker drying times are
achieved by using low pressure, actual steam (above 212 degrees) and multiple vacuum
strokes - the other steps are proprietary...sorry.   Berber and heavily soiled carpets will
take up to five hours to completely dry although your carpets will feel dry in a couple of
hours.
Q: Why does berber or looped carpet cost an additional five to ten dollars per area?
A: Cleaning and speed-drying extends the cleaning time about twenty five percent.
Q: Last month, I had doggies visiting me for a week.  They left wonderful impressions and
TWO HUGE stains.  I've treated them with products from Home Depot and the pet store.
They don't smell anymore, but the stains keep coming back.  Why?
A: When padding beneath the carpet gets wet, the carpet fibers draw (like a wick in an oil
candle) any moisture to the surface along with any soapy residues, untreated urine
crystals, old spills, etc.  Our steam-cleaning process, low pressure, speed-drying, and
general enzyme service prevents the unseen from becoming seen.  We guarantee it!
Q: Cat odor is the worse!  My cats puke, spray, and vomit.  I have a large family
gathering this year.  I get most of the stains out, but the smell... oh my God!  Help!
A: Stay with us on this.  For the worse cat odor in carpets and the sub-floors, we use a
unique chemistry that safely and immediately eradicates (on contact) amine, marcaptan,
adrosterone, indole, skatole, metabolite, and phenol odors.
 How it differs: 1)
Permanent (unlike fragrances), 2) Stops remaining bacteria-produced odors (unlike
germicides), 3) Works with detergents and disinfectants (unlike enzymes), 4) Treats more
than sulfur-based odors (unlike oxidizers).
